Anchor the Pitchband at elbow height and stand side-on. Keep your elbow tucked in at your side and turn your forearm out, away from your body, then control it back.

FAQ

Baseball training, answered.

How should pitchers warm up their arm?

Lift your heart rate first, then take your shoulder through its full range with light band work before you throw. A Pitchband lets you do rotations and arm circles anywhere. Then build your throws from short to long.

Are resistance bands good for baseball training?

Yes. Bands load the rotation, pulling and shoulder work that throwing and hitting rely on, and they fit in a kit bag. Use a light band before you throw and a heavier one to build strength between sessions.

How do you build grip and forearm strength?

A few short sessions a week is enough. Hand Grip Loops and the Strength Grip train your hands and fingers, and a weighted jump rope works your forearms while you build your fitness.

How do you look after your arm after a game?

Sleep and food come first. Then use a massage ball on the front of your shoulder and along your forearm, roll your hips, back and legs on a foam roller, and stretch gently with a Flexiband.

Baseball at PTP

Baseball training gear, explained.

Baseball asks your body for rotational power, a strong and healthy throwing shoulder, a firm grip and quick reactions, game after game. This collection sorts PTP training equipment into three phases, so you can build a kit around your position and your season instead of buying everything at once.

To prepare, start with a Pitchband Light for arm care, a Microband X for your hips and a reaction ball for quick hands. To train, add the Pitchband Ultimate, the Ab Sculpt or the Total Resistance Gym for strength and rotation, plus hand grips for your forearms. To recover, use the X Roller, massage balls and a Flexiband. It is the gear in PTP ambassador Tim Atherton's collection, and it suits players from juniors to seniors. New to resistance training?
